I had a terrible disaster last year which caused me to do a 76 day fishes tank. I vowed I would never put a fish in my tank without proper QT. I stuck to my work. Every fish I have added to my DT has gone through 4 weeks of copper, two weeks of Prazipro, and then two weeks of observation. My fish were thriving. Today I came home and found three fish dead on the bottom of my tank. Covered in what I now know is Velvet. I have added nothing to my tank in TWO MONTHS! I was able to get my Valentini Puffer, two clowns, two file fish, one chalk bass, and my CB into a 10 gallon QT. I have ramped up coper the copper to 1 in a matter of three hours. I am very nervous about my puffer. He is the heart and soul of my tank. I am not able to set up a separate QT for him. He made it through the 2.0 the first time but every day I was afraid to look in the tank. Do I just press on bc at this point it's better to treat him? BTW, none of the fish in my QT have any of the signs of Valvet. I love my other chalk bass, yellow tang, and diamond butterfly (he was an outstanding looking fish). Any advice would be helfpul. And I guess I need to go 6 weeks before putting anything back in my DT? Should I run my sterilizer in my DT? Was thinking of treating the DT (it only has snails/hermits) with RRR? Thoughts? I am at a loss...I did everything right. I am crushed!
