Hello,
I’m having issues with a CSB attaching to anything. And wan’t to see what others may have as suggestions.
I’ve had this anemone since august of this last year 2022. Started out about the size of a half dollar (First image), was not attached to anything when I first got it. It is current in a 30g AIO under two HD Primes, running blues, and some UV.
Over the last 7 months it has grown and seems happy, bubbles on the tips and when it’s fully open and flat about 3inch across. (Second image).
I have the Nem on crushed coral surrounded by some rock to shield in slightly from the flow, small mighty jet on lowest setting.
Recently I’ve noticed the Nem is folded on itself, not upwards but downwards were the edges are touching and the foot is not visible. Has good color and eats, and has grown significantly but would like it to attach. Have shut off flow for hours, have place it on a frag disc, larger rock underneath and nothing seems to be working.
Have thought about trying to cut it, let it heal up and see what happens. Anyone have any input or suggestions!?
Thanks!!

It looks really healthy. Maybe too much flow...Get a nem basket! It might suck to the side. Fwiw my csb was an escape artist. I found it one day with half its body squeezed thru a home made nem basket hole the size of a pencil :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing: :face-with-tears-of-joy:
They like to move around much more than my rose did.

i wouldnt cut it until it gets bigger.

I’ll try a different Nem cage, had one, didn’t seem to work well. Should I put rubble in the bottom of the cage also?

This nem has not attached in 6 months, is that correct?
The foot should be sticky to touch.
If it had attached, it would only have been for a couple days and then detaches. I’ve tried to see if the foot is sticky but like I said it fold up on itself and can’t get to the foot to check.
