Good morning Im just looking for more input, I have a waterbox cube 10 I have single Ai prime 16 mounted 8.5inches but im noticing harsh shadowing on the base of some of my sps and sides thinking of adding another prime will it help? Or maybe a xr15 will it create the same shadow? The tank is 13.8"×14.2"×13.8

Thank you in advance for replies, my first time keeping acros

All 'puck' style led fixtures produce more shadows than array led fixtures. And t5's have even less shadow.

I have a prime 16 over a 12*12*12 7g cube side frag tank mounted about 10.5 inches. There is some shadowing but I have grown some large colonies in there. Have you checked your par?

Par on the top of rock ranges from 220 to 270, I mean the acros are looking good and coloring up just the shadows, but seems like Ill have some shadow regardless, and I can increase the par for if needed

I have 2-52hds 16” over my 50g display and still get some shadows.

That’s one of the problems with LEDs, they tend to leave more shadowing. Not sure if a diffuser will help or if some LEDs are better than others. All my LFS use halide or T5 for SPS
