I'm new to the hobby and am looking to build a cube tank of around 30-45 gallons.
I'd also like to use the Triton method as I do not want to do water changes.

I'd like to buy the tank and cabinet together, does anyone have any good recommendations?
I don't really have a budget limit for this.

My requirements:
  • No water changes
  • Auto top up
  • Auto feeding
  • Auto dosing
  • *essentially what can be automatic I'd like to be
  • Dry sand and rock initially
  • I'd like limited equipment visible around the tank itself, should be hidden within the cabinet if possible
Things I'm especially unsure of:
  • Where to get the sump, and what the sump setup should be like for Triton method
  • Lighting
  • Devices needed for all the automation
  • Which water testing kits are needed
  • Emergency battery power for everything
Coral ideas so far:
  • Green Star Polyps (on an island)
  • Rose bubble tip anemone
  • Neon Trumpet coral
  • Green brain coral
  • Clam of some kind
Stock ideas:
  • 2x Clowne Fish
  • Yellow Watchman Goby and Tiger Pistol Shrimp

Have your checked innovative marine and water box ?

Something to think about is even with triton you will probably need to do water changes for the first year or so until the tank is stable. Mature tanks are typically the only ones that can go without water changes or with extended periods between them.

When you send the ICP test in if anything is elevated they will tell you to do water changes to lower it. For triton to work you need to follow those directions.

BRS just did a video where they talk about this very thing.

look in to SC Aquariums lots of cube tank there I had there 90 -36x24x24 called it my little big tank. the largest volume in the smallest foot print. in the end I found I did not really care for cube tanks as much as I thought I would. they used to make a 75 gal. 36x24x20 I think I would of liked that one more.

good luck!
