Good Afternoon,

I’ve had my system set up for a few months now. I’ve recently been interested about trying to tweak the water flow in my tank. Quick relevant specs:

PA 60g Cube (24x24x24)
Vectra s1 return
(2) mp-10 wqd

Here is a picture of my tank:

The Vectra runs on a steady 75% 24 hrs a day

My VorTechs are same height, one either sides of my overflow. These guys have been running 75% reef crest 24 hours a day.

What I hope to achieve:

I’ve noticed debris builds up directly below my pumps in the sand. I’m hoping to adjust my programming, tweak placement to achieve good healthy flow.

Please make your suggestions as to programming, schedule, placement.

I prefer to keep pumps on the back glass. It’s easier to clean, it looks much more sleek, and being a cube tank I’m assuming it’s not detrimental.

Thanks.

2 MP10's should be plenty of flow in 60 cube, when I had a 60 cube it was fine with just 1... but then again I was using an oversized return pump that was creating a lot of flow. To help eliminate dead spots, I'd try placing the MP10's at different heights at alternating times, u can program MP10 to do this. In my 60, I had the MP10 set to Reef crest at 90% and going to night mode around 10pm so livestock can rest.
