So I want to get a medium sized cube tank to just kinda pass time since it'll be a long time before I can begin my next major project. Requirements would be something drilled and 2x2x2 feet (60 gallons) or very close to that. Anyone know any manufacturers who can sell me a good one that's fairly priced? I will pay for quality as long as it's there. Btw I live in Canada so they have to be able to ship to me. Usually that's not really an issue for dry goods but for something like a tank it may be important to consider. Sorry #reefsquad for clogging the unanswered threads section and abusing the hashtag just now

No worries. That's what the tag is there for.

I'm not aware of any tank manufacturers that I can recommend, mostly because of having much larger tanks most of my time. I did have a collum tank, 56 gallon ,but it was a off the shelf marineland.

Bump.

#reefsquad.

Well thanks atleast for the bump man ;), yeah it's surprisingly hard to find a cube with the characteristics I'm looking for. Most of them are very nice and well built but not drilled. Maybe I might have to drill myself

How much are you willing to spend? Innovative Marine makes a 24 x 24 x 19.5....

Or you could order a tank from miracles aquariums, they make a 60 with those exact dimensions for $360,I believe they charge an extra $65 per panel for starfire and $20 per hole drilled, could get a REALLY nice tank for $5-600...

For the scape I want the height is important, so 19.5 inches is quite low. $5-600 should be a few weeks of work and I'm fine with that (I'm just out of high school don't really have bills or anything to worry about rn so now's the time to be frivolous lol), I'm good at saving money. Thanks for the recommendations!

Give Derek a call I'm sure he could help you out, he really helped me out on my recent order when I made a massive change mid build...

You can get an SCA cube with stand, sump, return pump, and skimmer for under $1000 shipped. They’ll even custom drill it if you go to them directly. I have their 50g cube and love it. The stand isn’t great, so I built my own.

what about a vertically mounted gyre plus return adding flow elsewhere?

There’s all kinds of combinations that give you good flow provided your using multiple powerheads. I don’t think a single powerhead will do it. The problem tends to be the undertow mounding up the sand and kicking it up. . I highly recommend more of a course sand and several powerheads Running at or below 40%

I have a SCA 90 36x24x24 I call it my little big tank. had it 1.5 years was a good tank but i found i need longer tanks just my liking.
but if you want to take a road trip down to wy. I can give you one heck of a deal..haha

The stand is fine, but if it gets wet it will warp in a hurry. The stand looks nice and you could do a lot worse. When I rebooted my tank I found the bottom of the back wall had swelled out 1.5".
