Hey guys, I'm just about to start cycling my 40 nuvo and am likely going to go bare bottom. I want to stay with mostly snails for my cuc but I know that some of the more popular ones really like sand. Those of you with bare bottom tanks, what is your preferred cuc? snails or other. thanks!!

Ooooo me to I'm interested in this set up as well, have a hermit crab from the beach and he's thriving well

Most snails are going to eat on your rocks, glass, and glass including the bottom. The only popular snail that wouldn't work is the nasarrius, they bury themselves in the sand; a conch wouldn't work either, they sift through the sand. Hermits can fill in where the nasarrius would by eating uneaten food. My favorite snails are cerith, astrea, and turbos.
