CUC for my Sump

I have a smaller sump under my 60 cube. It guess it hold 10 or so gallons. Its a 2 chamber holding my skimmer/heater in the first and return pump in the other. Id like to put something in there to help with how messy the bottom gets. I have in my display some larger turbos, nassarius and a bunch of tiny cerith snails (I think thats what they are) any of these good to throw down there or should I get something else?

Its at floor level, a regular siphon wont work

Trust me you really don't want anything down there other than maybe pods in a fuge section. I never put anything in mine but just by virtue of having lots of hermits and snails some always manage to get to the sump and inevitably end up jammed in a pump. Theres always input strainers but I don't have them on my skimmer, return or bio reactor. Other than a lot of pumps not coming with them they tend to clog easier.

Just attach some vinyl hosing to a small powerhead and use that as a makeshift vacuum.

My return pump and skimmer both have covers, no snails could get in. I have no room for a fuge either
