I am in process of cycling a new tank. I plan on QT everything I bring in to prevent nasty things that can get my animals sick.

Being a new tank, can I use the tank as a QT since there are no fish present or are we worried about things that will get into the sand/rock?

I can keep the CUC happy with some nori and pellets.

Im in the process of cycling my display tank at the moment as well. My plan is to quarantine all the cuc in a separate tank for at least 76 days. From what ive read they need to be in a fishless environment for at least 76 days to prevent parasites from being introduced.

I was working on the same logic. If I don’t add fish to the DT for 76 days, it’s serving the same purpose as a QT for that time.

That’s a one time only offer though as we’ll only be able to do it once.
