Hi everyone, I've done some research and decided on my CUC. I was hoping someone could confirm whether or not it is appropriate?
I have a one foot cube with a 1/2" sandbed.
I'm considering snails and shrimp.
2 trochus, 3 nassarius, 2 cerith and 1 red handed shrimp/palaemon serenus.
Thanks in advance!

Looks good, you should be good with that, may have to add 1-2 more trochus. I would start where you are and add if needed.

Trochus are awesome, I would also add a green emerald crab, though as they get bigger, they'll try to catch smaller fish. They do a wonder on hair algae.

How many gallons is that cube? And what else is going in it? Without knowing the tank size or stocking level, it's hard to give you a good CUC recommendation.

He said it was 12"_3, I guessing 30 gallons

Given that size id suggest you bring in some blue leg hermits maybe two. Or a scarlet hermit, they're very nicely colored. An emerald crab is only necessary if you have a continuous hair or bubble algae issue.

It's only 8 gallons being a one foot cube.
I love hermits, but being such a small tank I decided against them as they can be pretty clumsy with frags and whatnot. Plus I don't want them getting all my snails haha. I'll consider them though.
Thanks for the suggestions everyone!
I'll probably only add a coral goby and a sand goby as far as fish go.

For an 8 gallon tank I would probably go with 2 or 3 Trochus snails and maybe one Scarlet hermit crab. Keep the sides clean with a Mag-Float or something similar and either stir up or vacuum your sand bed on a regular basis. Piece of cake.
