After acclimating When adding cuc do I just dump them in or do they have to be placed a certain way on rocks?

Depends, some snail cannot right themselves if upside down

I would put all my snails upright and if you have a star fish, don't expose to air and try to drip acclimate for at least an hour or 2, than float in a bag or Tupperware till the temp meets up. Don't ever use anyone's water #1, ever!!

Hermit crabs are very hardy, after acclimating just pop them in. I don't even acclimate my hermits
