What members would you have on your ideal CUC for a 30 gallon tank? right now I have 4 mexican red legged hermits, and 1 banded touche snail. Going to the fish store today to pick up some more members so any help is appreciated

sorry, i meant banded trochus snail

Nasarius snails for sure. Best sand sifters I have come across. But not to be a downer. Do you really need more at this stage of your tank? Only bad things happen quickly in this hobby.

p.s. I wont be adding any fish until at least next month so its not like I am trying to rush too much....just want a CUC to keep my algae under control.

do you have an algae problem a few days after a cycle? what will happen is you wont have enough food to feed these and they will die. I realize you are going to do what you want and really want to see life in your tank, but my advice is to wait till you are actually feeding the tank or shortly before you begin to stock your tank in order to get a better idea of what you are going to need for a CuC.

Do you have an algae problem that you are dealing with? A 30 gallon tank will be unforgiving if the water quality goes south. This can happen if too much CUC is added and they begin to die off.
