Hi Everyone,

We have a Culligan RO Rental at home. Our home is on a well and the water is pretty bad, this takes us down to about 25 TDS.

Can I use this instead of having to buy an RODI unit like the one from BRS or off Amazon? As someone starting out in the hobby I am really trying to minimize my cost.

Thank you !

25 TDS may not be the best for a reef tank. If you can find out what that 25 is then a educated decision can be made. With well water it can be good or bad stuff.

If you just renting then honestly I would get rid of the rental and buy an RO/Di filter. It will save you money in the end. What’s your waste water ratio? A lot of home filters are not that good.

I have a rodi set up so it is T off to make RO water and RODI water. This way I have drinking water and tank water. Just stop renting and do that imo.
