Hi All,
I'm new here. I currently have a Fluval 32.5 G tank. Current Stock: 5 Dwarf Hermits, 3 Turbo Snails, 1 Konk, 1 RBTA, 1 GBTA, a pair of clowns, baby Sailfin Tang, 1 sixline wrasse, 1 wardley wrasse, and my first fish I still can't identify. I would like to add a protein skimmer, but my biomedia bag is taking so much space. Does anyone know of any alteratives for smaller bio media. I have seen the Bio-Balls and Bricks but uncertain about them.

There are plenty. Seachem matrix, eheim substrat, aquaforest life bio fil, etc. Avoid brightwell cubes are they tend to crumble. Also keep in mind the sponges in those tanks probably have more bacteria than your biomedia bag and removing them will cause problems if not dealt with correctly (assuming you would remove one for the skimmer.

@ Spare time.. Thank you for your response. I'll go check those out. It's my first time with a Fluval Flex. The tank is solid and aesthetically pleasing, but the space in the back is so tight.
