What’s the best way to culture pods, specifically Apocyclops, without using phytoplankton?

How hard is it to culture pods without phyto? Can I just feed them detritus or fish flakes?

They still need phyto, just doesnt have to be alive. My understanding is that Apocyclops Is more difficult than rotifers and less difficult than pods that need live phyto. Though I have not cultured it before.

the thing with non live feeds is the culture water needs frequent monitoring and/or changing.... I'm using both types of feeds (live and non live) and all things considered IMO its almost a coin toss whats easier/cheaper, better et .... probably a thread somewhere already discussing one vs the other
