I started culturing rotifers 2 days ago and they don't seem to be reproducing. The water is tinted at a light green and when I get a scoop of water it almost looks clear. Should I be adding more food or what?please help me.

Salinity :1.018
Food: bottled phytoplankton
Aeration : just a single air stone.
I'll post a pic in a bit

It is really light and doesn't seem to be reproducing

Not good way..
For conteiner use an acrilic bottle
No stone air but only vynilic tube one bubble for second, bubble kills rotyfer.
Salinity 1025 change half water every 2 days
Temp 24centigrade

Are you measuring the phyto? If you are adding the same amount each time, is the water getting darker? If not, you are ok. Just don't let the water go clear.

It kind of does seem to get a little bit darker when I add phytoplankton, it just worries me that it doesn't look as dark as other people's rotifer cultures.

I scooped up a cup of water to see if the water was darker and it was literally almost like water. What should I do?
