Culturing tisbe pods in a tank

I’m currently culturing some tisbe pods in a jar and airline the most common way, but I have a spare 60 litre tank (only gonna fill halfway) that I was thinking of culturing the pods in, unfortunately don’t have a sump just a Fluval evo at the mo

I was thinking of putting some live rock in to help with the water going bad and a little power head 300litres per hour so it’ll give the water some flow to get in the rocks but not a a lot of flow to disturb the pods that much and also a heater etc

When culturing pods, does one need to make water changes in the culture as with an aquarium ? And if so, how does one keep the pods from being sucked out while taking old water out of the culture ?

I've been culturing pods for months and months now in 2gal dispensers with valve spiquets.
