I’m just want to see some people’s opinion.

(A little background)
So recently I have had to pull my fish from my tank because they have recently got some white spots either ich or velvet. I have lost 3 fish and had to get them all out and QT. I didn’t quarantine fish prior to this incident and I will now on. So after research I have decided to use Seachem Cupamine for treatment.

I was using a turkey baster to suck stuff off the bottom of the tank and squirted it into a container. With just this brief exposure are these items doomed and I can’t use them ever again in the DT?

Also thinking I will have to buy a different siphon as well.

The items that are in the QT won’t go in the DT again.

Thanks

I used a full dose or close .4 for 2 week straight in 2 of my main tabks full with sand and rock... i used cuprisorb and carbon for a few weeks and put in 40 corals.. i have over 70 corals snails shrimp clam ect.. nothing has happend

Oh and btw.. i found cupramine to be too harsh on fish... but thats just me.

I actually had white spots and lost 800$ in fish over 3 months.. I tried cupramine and it just killed more fish.. it also brought out lymphocystis which is a virus thst causes white nodules and fish thst never got ich.. got this and died.

So to be honest cupramine made it worse.

I would do hyposalinity. If you dont have wrasses flame angels. Blue tang, and anthias thrn hyposalinity will work great.

I did hypo for 2 months straight on my tangs, damsels, clown fish and flamehawk and foxface. It didnt hurt my coral beauty either... After 2 months i raised salinity and its been 3 months now. I havent seen ich come back at all

Ahhh I dont think it would be that big of deal. especially if you haven't let the water sit in the turkey baster for a long time. I use a pipit to feed my fish and i use it in both my tanks and my QT is full of copper. It should be fine just don't transfer water
