So I usually use cupramine as part of my QT protocol, but main doubt has to do with ammonia. As far as I understand the usual test kits give false readings when using it.

I usually have a seachem ammonia alert batch in the tank. The problem is that colors are really not that different and could lead to problems.

So my question is, what would you recommend?

Thanks in advance!

I have found the Hach NI-SA kit to be the best for ammonia tank testing. Not cheap but if you need a fairly accurate test that is the best middle ground I have found.

Even in the use of cupramine? The problem is not accuracy the problem is false readings

It is a Salicylate test. Green card kits should work when you follow the timing directions accurately. The problem with cupramine is that it can give a false reading if you don't follow the timing instructions or use a Nessler kit. Seachem has their own version of this but I haven't had the best of luck with their ammonia kits. Never tried the API or LaMotte. I am sure there are others as well.

Well... I can't be the only one facing this issue. Any one else based on hurt experience?

Thanks
