Cupramine seems to dissipate...

We talked last week...been trying to keep my chalk bass at .35ppm of copper for 14 days...each morning that I test it there seems to be less...now about .2ppm...why is that and should I be adding another drop each day?...

Also as little powder that I use...I'm afraid it will run out...I mean I use almost nothing...

Is there any rock or sand in the tank you are treating? These can and will absorb the copper to some extent, but at some point it should stabilize out.

That powder is from the Sea Chem test kit...and I realize now that the sand and rocks in my QT is absorbing the Cupramine...I am testing every morning and adding a drop if it goes below .35ppm which it does...sound alright...can I get more powder without buying a whole kit?...thanks and welcome back...

Ahh, I should have known that... must still be half asleep from the trip.

I've never seen where you can buy just the powder. I believe they make you buy a whole new test kit when you run out.
