I recently switched from cupramine to copper power for qt'ing my wrasse since he wasn't doing well in cupramine. My question id how long does it take cuprisorb to remove cupramine. It was around .30 when i did a 40% water change and put cuprisorb in my hob filter. Its been 3 days and using my hanna checker it shows .26. Yesterday it was the same. I want to start treating tbe wrasse with copper power but want all the cupramine out of my tank.

You could do a 100% water change and then run carbon for 24hrs to cleanup the rest. I have never used the cuprisorb pads. So I cannot offer much there...

Will the 100% hurt my biofilter?
If it is well seeded, no it won't.

I keep all media in HOB, and I do not drain my HOB upon a 100% WC just fyi. I do them weekly or bi-weekly during copper because it's easy to re-dose. Never had an ammonia issue.

Ok. Thanks once again!
