Cured rock ok to stop?

I have 6 week cured rock in a brute can. Growing good algae. Is it ok to stop using my pump head on it? Will still water ruin it if it only sat a couple days?i want to use the power head to set up a qt. Thank you for any info [emoji225]

the pump is needed for circulation . the bacteria needs to breathe. it will go aerobic and kill the rock.

no sweat!
that btw is what kills the tank during an outage.

got an air pump? put a hose and stone in the water in a pvc pipe. the air will draw the water up making flow.
