So awhile ago got a bad batch of Instant Ocean Reef Crystals salt. Was testing calcium around 700!! Even sent it to them, they tested it and sent me a new bag ... said it occasionally happens.

No big deal .. but Iheld on to the salt in the hopes of using it to ocure a bunch of dry rock I have,.

As I am about to do this, my question is ... will salt mix with high calcium readings like that still be effective at curing my dry rock?

I am assuming it wont make a difference, but wanted to make sure and ask. I will be changing out the water and doing water changes probobly twice a week with minimal light to prevent algae blooms.

Nope, shouldn't cause a problem at all. Sounds like a great use for it, actually!
