curing live rock....water quality

Hello All,

I am about to cure the old dry dead live rock, that has been sitting around dry for like 2-3 years. The question is for the curing of the rock, do I really need to use RODI water to cure? Or can I use my tap water to cure? And then, of course, I will use the good water when cycling / starting up the tank.

actually ...not gonna do it. Use tap water that is.
