I really hate pests, but from experience and noted by many it takes a while before you can grow sps starting with only dead rock. I'm just curious if you cure live rock for lets say 3 month with no light, will all the aiptasia, vermetids, bristle worms etc die? Will all that good bacteria still be around?

Nope on the pest yes on the bacteria.

You got to nuke the rock either either bleach or MA.
Let it dry out after that in the sun for a week or two or longer and than you can cure it.
Remember curing is completely different from cycling.

Yeah ive nuked rock with acid and killed everything, it just took forever after that before the tank became stable enough. I just don't see why the vermetids (my main nemesis) wouldnt starve over a couple months. Those guys are pretty resilient though
