Just got my Box O' Marco Rock. Not gonna crack it open and mess with it till the weekend but I have a quick question.

I want to cure this stuff (35# worth of rock) and am wondering if I can use a new regular size plastic rubbermade garbage can to cure it in?
I remember hearing about some plastic containers can leech stuff back into the water and am wondering what I need to look for.

Thanks

I would like to know myself. :D

I got mine in the water in a barrel and today it is RIPE! Man it stinks pretty bad...

But it's going to be worth it all!!!

I have used the brute style rubbermaid trashcans before just make shure it is absolutly clean and hasn't been used with any chemicals preferably a new can would work best but they are safe

acutaly if you look on the lable they say that they are registered for food grade use

I bought a rubbermaid 24g storage bin with snap-on lid. I've cured rock in there before. Now I use it to store water for my weekly maintenance. I have it mixed up with salt, powerhead and heater. Tank seams fine. That water sits in that rubbermaid bin for a week before I use it.
