so i was lucky enough to win the marco rocks cherry scape this week! im finding mixed things about curing this rock though, my tank has been up and running for 8 months now. being that there isnt any organic matter do these rocks need curing, or are they safe to add to my system?

I recently added some Marco rocks to my 4 year old reef. I didn't have a cycle or any fish/coral loss but I have noticed the rock growing algae I don't see on any other rocks.

Since its not live rock and should be mostly free of organic debris, you should not need a cycle but it can't hurt to monitor for one when you add the rock. Congrats on winning it!

thats kind of what i was thinking after doing some reading last night. my plan is to put all the rock in a 30 gallon for about a week and keep tabs on the water. then add them to my tank if everything looks all good after the week. and thanks! it couldnt have come at a better time honestly, my tangs really need some new hide outs!
