I have 130 lbs of semi-cured live rock sitting in a stock tank. The LFS I purchased from had it for a week curing in one of their tanks. I have to do some scrubbing on it, but there really isn't much of a smell. I've been thinking of letting it cure for the next two weeks before putting it in the tank.
Now, currently my tank is a mess. I have been fighting bryopsis, red wire hair and dinos. My plan is to pull all of my current rock, and replace with the new live rock. I'm hoping to avoid a big cycle as I don't really have extra equipment to run for corals and fish. I've been thinking about running DR. Tim's one and only with the rock as it is curing, and then another smaller dose when I do the transfer. I plan on doing the change in one day, at least that is what I'm hoping to do without stressing the fish to much.
Any thoughts or suggestions would really be helpful

I am now almost a week into continuing the curing process. I've scrubbed all of the rock, and gone through all of the nooks and crannies with a screw drive to remove all of the mud and sponge. I've done a 100% water change and have added 2x 1200 pod bags and have been feeding phyto to the stock tank.
My head has been busy with how I'm going to do this change over. I have a fair amount of frags, and 6 fish that will need to make this transfer. My thought is to empty the stock tank of the cured rock in the morning and clean it out. I'll then fill it with tank water, move the fish and coral into the stock tank adding an airbar and a pump for flow. Then replace the current rock with the new rock with a 70% water change. Let the tank sit for 3 days and also dose with Dr. Tim's One and Only.
I'll be honest and say that I am more concerned for the fish. I had a tank crash before and it was heart wrenching to see the little guys taking their last breaths. I am concerned about the coral to, but I have safety frags with friends. And at this point, nothing is really in the super expensive side, with some frags also having bits of bryopsis on them.
If anyone has had to go through this, I could really use some advice. The rock change is happening, I'm just hoping for no casualties.

I would have left the sponges as they are a massive filtering source.

And for switching the rock. That will not fix your algae problem unless your current rock is leeching p04. Can you put any rock in your sump?

The sponges were on the dead side. Any spores should regrow. I'm fighting bryopsis, been at it for 4 1/2 months, and it's just spreading. It is evil stuff

Yeah bryopsis is pretty tuff to get rid of. Never had it hope to never have it but have heard it is a pita

Do you have any circulation in the stock tank now? It needs some water movement for gas exchange etc. I would be ghost feeding the rock while it cures with frozen foods to help boost the populations of bacteria etc.

I have 3 pumps running and an air stone. Also ghost feeding frozen and phyto
