So recently I had some rapid toxic air pollutant in my tank that wiped out half my mixed reef, so I’m setting it up again with all new everything pretty much. I got a dosing pump for the first time. I manually dosed prior to this. I got a 5 pump doser and here’s what I plan so far:
1.) Red Sea NO3:PO4-X. I manually dosed this 4 days per week.
2.) ME Coral kH. I manually dosed this 5 days per week.
3. Red Sea Calcium. I manually dosed this 3 times per week.

I need some suggestions for the 4th and 5th channel on the doser. I’m thinking of maybe hooking up aquavitro fuel, I used to use this and really liked it. Or maybe something like Red Seas trace elements/colors, not sure what it’s called.

Has anyone automatically dosed supplements like fuel or colors/trace elements, rather than 2-parts, mg, etc.?

The remaining half of my corals are in my friends tank, healing. I plan on putting them back in once the cycle completes. I just put in an order for a custom aquascape so I’m excited for that, I’ve never been good at them.

I utilize the RS program and use dosers to dose the three foundations and the four colors, so a total of 7 heads. I have a spare that's not used. I can't imagine doing it manually...I'm way too lazy.

I dose fuel, acropower, 2 part, and had dosed Red Sea Colors I stopped the colors as I personally didn’t see a changes after going through a liter bottle of each.

Thanks for the replies guys! I think I’m definitely going to add the fuel on one of the doser channels. I’ll still have 2 left so I’m not sure what I’ll add onto there. I do read a lot of mixed reviews on the Red Sea colors, and I got 2 different views on it on my thread, so I think I’ll just pass on that.

I also follow the Red Sea reef program with auto dosing, but I have never auto dosed the coral colours because I read an overdose could be ‘very bad’ so I dose according to calcium uptake, and also on the side of caution. I manually dose these once every 7-10 days.

Do they make any difference, I don’t know to be honest, but I’m good with what Red Sea tell me to do as I assume the men in white coats know more than me !! Lol
