I purchased a nice little feather duster on the weekend. It was open in the store, I acclimated it using a water exchange method (I do this for all my inverts for about 2 hours), it then opened up later that day in quarantine.
The next day it did not open at all. Later on I found a snail (not sure what type, could be nassarius, it is a weird looking snail which hitch-hiked into QT) sucking on the top end of the worms tube.
Presumed dead at this point.
I did notice some benign looking extensions on the bottom side of the tube (they would have been buried in the store). But did not think much of it.
Today, those growths have opened up, and look a bit like a zoa. Although, I have never seen a zoa polyp with such a long 'body'. Here are some images, any thoughts on what this may be are much appreciated!
