I’ve seen it puff up most nights just not like that. Lol. Was just a little cautious. That’s all.Seem to recall that is normal behavior for brain corals occasionally.
Yeah I feed all my corals every night. I’ve seen where some people say only once a week. But my corals are reacting well so far. and growing like crazy. So I guess if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. Lol. I’ll continue doing it. It stays pretty puffed up and tentacles out but never this puffed up. Thanks. Can't tell, I'm not a neurologist. But you should maybe see a doctor if you can see your own brain.
Seriously though, that's an open brain coral that wants food, puffed up like that and extending its tentacles. Give it a nice big chunk of food, or several. Puffing up isn't a sign of ill health, scrunching is.
It’s small. i take a syringe and suck up a little of the food mix I make in the evening and drop a small piece of mysis on each side by each mouth. And that’s it.Every day might be a little often; they have slow metabolisms and need time to digest. Probably fine if it's relatively small meals, though.
Actually I just read an interesting article on animal_world.com that says quite the opposite. Says they are voracious eaters and should be fed daily. It was a pretty good article. I’ll post the link in case you are interested in reading.Every day might be a little often; they have slow metabolisms and need time to digest. Probably fine if it's relatively small meals, though.
