Curious Issue with Cepex Valve

Cepex are my go to ball valves. You pay a bit more than for Dave's ball valves, but they last forever. Had a curious issue recently though. One of the flanges that came with a 1" ball valve fits no known pipe size LOL ...... neither 1" nor 3/4", US nor metric. I suspect I know what happened, but has anyone had anything similar happen?

I can’t help, but I can bump the thread to see if anyone else can or has had a similar problem

Thanks, didn't really expect that anyone has ..... but you never know. I think that it was an anomaly and the flange was molded to be threaded, but the threads were never cut in.

Have used "Cepex" ball valves and never seen that issue or heard of it.

Probably one slipped past QA.

Yup! Happens. BRS is sending me a replacement flange. This one is headed to the Island of Misfit Toys LOL
