Curious on Reefers Gender and Age

Its because, on average, its a very technical, mechanical sort of hobbie, & men like that sort of thing whereas woman not so much.

No doubt there are excellent female engineers & the like, but the data shows that males are typically interested in things & women are more interested in people when it comes to choosing a vocation & i imagine this applies to hobbys also.
Even in the most egalitarian western societies, such as Norway, the majority of females choose careers such as teachers & nurses over electronics or automotive engineering, for example, & it has nothing to do with iq.

I agree! I am intimidated by equipment. I learn very quickly hands-on when someone shows me.

There is a lot to learn in the hobby. There are plenty of men that have problems with equipment and plumbing. Perhaps a general to to thread for reefers. Let me know what you need help with and I will see what I can come up with.

I dont know how you could even begin to control for nature vs nuture in a study like that, so long as little girls are given baby dolls to care for while little boys are given Tonka trucks and legos. Gender roles are introduced at birth, baby boys being strong and handsome, while little girls are pretty and fragile.
I understand there is no hard rule on who plays with what, but they pick up very quickly on what is "acceptable" play for their gender. For example, my young cousin taking dance classes and loving it for a couple years until he realized he was the only boy in the class and that meant enough to him that he didn't want to go anymore.
Or myself being told in 1995 that "Girls cant take shop" - direct quote from my 9th grade counselor when enrolling in a public school.
Perhaps being in the South I see an exaggeration of these expectations, but girls playing helpless so a big strong man can save them is something I've noticed since my peers started taking notice of each other for dating. It sickens me to think if acting that way.
