curious question on what is more pleasing plugs, tile, or rock rubble ?

I was wonder what people preferred more when it comes to purchasing there coral. Do you like the usual stone plugs or ceramic tiles or do you like to see your newly sought coral on a reasonable piece of rock rubble? The reason I ask is that I am getting more and more into aquaculture and finally landed a store that will carry my corals on consignment and was wondering what people would like to see the corals placed on more ?

I'd specifically ask the store, in your circumstances.

A lot of people will give you different opinions and in some cases, it'll depend on the coral.

Personally, I like plugs, because they fit in my frag racks, until I'm prepared to place it on my rockwork, permanently. For some corals, such as Zoanthids, Acans, Echinos, I prefer either larger disked plugs or tile. I absolutely hate rubble rock, only because if I'm placing it on a frag rack or on the bottom of the tank, it doesn't stand up as well, and easily gets knocked over. However, I've had people specifically request rubble rock, when buying frags from me.

IMO, rock rubble blends in better and is generally cheaper to buy.

Thats what i was thinking. More for aesthetics but I am not sure how many people think that way when there in the store about plugs.

The store said it is up to my discretion on what i want to grow them out on. but i do agree with you on the stability of the rock on eggcrate with the tendency to roll and possibly damage the goods. I think what i will do is DIY plugs and rock rubble when asked to do so. thanks for the advice

I expect to pay less if the coral is attached to a plug/disc instead of a piece of rock because I have to transfer the coral to a rock when I get home.

I like plastic plugs. I am terrified about getting another pest problem!! every HIGH END frag I have came on plastic plugs
