Hey All-
Just curious if you do scheduled water changes even if current params are in line?

Yes....I do them weekly without fail. There is a lot of stuff in new salt that we don't test for so I consider it a small reboot of my water chemistry.

Yes I do as well. All of the trace elements in new salt water are valuable to the reef tank and can become depleted. Also it helps keep nutrients in line somewhat and just helps keep everything happy without having to send water samples out for icp. Many have started using triton or ati which don't require water changes as often, if at all, but the trace elements are tested for and dosed accordingly.
