Current ai primes or reef breeders photon?

Does anyone have suggestions for changing my entire lighting over to something new with existing corals? Should I try to match the par roughly and slowly increase? My main goal is better par levels for sps at the top of aquascape, but I don’t want to loose any thing like torches or alveapora and etc.

If it were my tank and switching I would probably stay 20% under par of your current par. Up it 10% each week until you are where you want it. Corals won't mind much but piece of mind worth much more.

Not necessarily, the reefbreeders come standard with 90 degree lenses. If you ask logan, he can send you 120's. That will get you lower to the water.
But, if your like me and mount them about 4.5/5", just take out the lenses. No disco, just be sure to cover the tank so you don't get splashes.

I'm more or less basing this off of the brs videos on the light and my experience with the sister light (very similar design) the ocean revives (same manufacturer). I haven't seen any number on them without the lenses or with the 120 lenses so that would be neat to see.

Yes, but without lenses they give you maximum spread. Nice over - lay to the next led.
5.5 inches minus 1.5 inches plus about .5 from the rim to the water. About 4.5" mount with no disco effect.

Hello. I have a Waterbox 65.4 gallon AIO. The dimensions are roughly 48” long, 15” deep display, and 18” tall.
my current set up is a mixed reef almost 1 yr old. I am running 3 AI Prime 16 Hd lights. My highest par at the main sps area is about 300. My lower areas near sand level where I have hammers torches and zoas and such are about 150 average.
I have a second 30 gallon tank with softies and inverts. But I need a new light. Also kicking around the idea of a 20 long frag type setup which would also need lights.
I am debating on a reef breeder 48” photon v2+ for the Waterbox and figured the ai primes could be used elsewhere. But is this a step up, down or lateral? I struggle to get lower par in the Waterbox at the bottom while keeping it higher at the top. I wonder if it is because the tank display is 15” deep and the light bounces off the glass? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Included is a shot of the tank in question. Thanks!
PS. Circled par numbers are after adjustments. and stacked numbers are top= Back, center= center, and bottom number is front at glass.

Thanks ! Would you recommend getting the 120 lens or just removing the 90s for better spread, worried more about spread than light penetration since all my tanks are shallow reefs/ lagoons

I love them! So much so that earlier this year I upgraded to a 180 gallon and bout a 36” to go with my 48”. They are very nice. I will let you in something though. Reefbreeders are in the works of releasing a version 3 photon that @Battlecorals is currently testing.

There are " catches" both ways. Just removing the lenses does, usually using bb's, have a not so small loss in photons leaving the box. 1" out from the diode at 120 produces a 3.5" circle of light.
1 3/4" at 1/2 inch

Adding 120's will alleviate this ( will move this circle to the front) at the possible cost of less blending than just removing them.
Depends on the design/quality of the 120's.

Ideally the whole baffle should be removed/replaced or " possibly" interiors painted white. I'm not sure what is physically possible.

Thanks...cups can be black or white. So my 50/50 guess was wrong .

Anyways even the white " leak" photons when the lenses are removed.
