I did the MQ510 par meter rental from BRS.
My current settings(daylight)

On time: 12p
Off time: 11p
Lights are about 3" above the waterline(2"above the tank). Tank height is 18". I have a 55gal.
At the highest points(6" below the surface, I got readings up to 220par. Sand bed is just about 100-110. About 50-70 on the edges. Light coverage/par is pretty consistent throughout, mostly a matter of the depth. Though I would say I wish it had more blue spectrum, I'm actually pretty impressed for such a 'low wattage' light.
I don't have much, but I have a Garf bonsai, green birdsnest, purple stylophora up top. WWC bizarro cyphastrea, rainbow monti, some leptastrea, n Psammacora mid level. Acans, zoas, fungia, favia, favites, leptos on the bed. A few toadstools, hammer n torch at the sides. All doing extremely well so far. All have excellent color.
Here's a pic under sunset. Daylight isn't as nice to look at since the blue isn't as strong, but it really does have a 'natural/balanced' daylight appearance, for lack of a better term.
