So I've had to just run the current orbit as an on off manual light and set the setting to 35 white 100 blue 10 red and green.

That's fine and dandy but I cannot for the life of me get the thing to turn on and turn off at the behest of the timer system on the remote.

Not only that but I can't get the settings of intensity for how I want the different time periods.

Everytime I press enter its like everything goes back to default and everything I programmed is reverted.

Getting very frustrated and will need this light to turn on by itself by Friday as I won't be home.

I'll post a Pic of my remote cause apparently there are diff models.

Please help before I snap this thing in half...

I still have to go back to "the instructions" to do some things with my remote( different one).
The instructions are less helpful than the video(s) I watched on it.

I follow the steps but it doesn't 'save' the setting. Getting sweaty frustrated in the AC

Here is the quick guide that I found to program my Orbit Marine IC Pro LOOP system (2 x 48" bars). This was better instruction than what is found in the actual manual (if you ask me). If you're still having trouble after using these steps I can try to walk you through some of the particulars. Hope this helps!

Just took a quick look at this. Already I can see several things the actual instructions do not say. 1 being clicking the period color spectrum key after setting the percentage of color smh

In sure this will help greatly. Tysm

Next step is some ai primes and I'm going to give away this current USA and all its add ons to some other unlucky unfortunate newbie reefer on here

Yeah, I've had my tank back up and running for just about a year now with these lights. The tank was originally my father's (even though I essentially maintained it for him) about 15-20 years ago. They recently moved and offered it to me, so I ended up with a reclamation project :). I'm extremely limited with lighting options because the tank has a canopy - so I can't suspend any lights - and a thick rim with euro-bracing - so I can't use tank-mounted lights.

I'm looking into potentially getting a Maxspect Razor X5 300W 48" light bar as a replacement for the Currents as I can suspend it across the bracing inside the canopy. I need to upgrade soon because I've started to go a little coral crazy in the last couple of months as I've gotten the tank parameters nice and stable.

Any changes you make you have to hit enter if I’m not mistaking Or hold the corespondent time. Sunset sunrise moonlight. After your settings.
It was the enter that was resetting it apparently I wasn't pressing the sunset or time period button associated again. Gonna try it here shortly

You are a literal reef saint! I FINALLY got it. It was just the instructions missing the hold the spectrum key fro 5 seconds. I could laugh and cry all at the same time LOL

Glad I was able to help. Trust me, I had my share of frustration when I first went through the setup process with those lights. The instruction manual leaves out some pretty key information, so I had to hunt down that guide on Current's website while I was also looking for suggestions on how to program different lighting spectrums. I altered the timing on it, but I'm using a slightly modified version of the Soft/LPS Reef settings.

Now I'm getting the itch to dip my toe into the SPS world, so that's why I'm looking at upgrading to the Maxspect Razor.
