So the recommended settings don’t work?

I run mine from 0900-2100 at 100 blue and 75 white. I also have sunset/sunrise at all blue. I also had fun playing with these settinging in this article.

Do you see good growth? From what I’m reading a lot of people turn the whites down a lot

Yeah I've heard whites way down.

Alot of people do run the reccomended setting but if you check the forums most of those people who use recc setting end up not having much luck.

I regret this orbit to high hell. Once I upgrade I'll be giving this thing away on here to another poor unfortunate reefer like it's The Ring videos

I also have mostly softies.
I somethings are growing like crazy, like my hammer, mushrooms, gsp, palys and cloves. Zoas have been much slower.

Having said all that, the tank does get a bit of natural daylight in there too.

Is the blue 100 and white 50 still the recommended settings? I’ve seen others with blue 100 white 35 green/red 5-10

Before I got the sunrise program to work I had mine on and off manually at these settings. I was having an algae bloom and that was reccomended to help curb algae.

My sinularia loves the light it's branching so well my gorgonia same my Lobophytom is iffy in general and the zoas are still figuring it out I guess. So pretty much what @MeMyFishandI said

I made the thread trying to see if anyone had better luck with other settings. Alot of my reefing problems could be solved if I had asked more questions so here we are

So everyone here who has had the programming schedule work. Does yours randomly start doing a rolling cloud cover setting during its dya light setting? I came up from working out and my tank was doing rolling lighting? Still says it's on the timer setting and when I click enter the just starts the rolling program again like it was programmed to do that at this time

Any ideas? Or normal?
