My tank is 4’ long 30” tall and 18” deep. Running the original maxspect 150 and thinking of making a change. Was thinking about to the vortech or the Neptune waves. I am running a apex and love the overall control with it. Fairly new to this so any advice is welcome just not sure I have the flow correct and maybe two pumps would be better.

Thank you.

Two pumps will always be better than one. I have a tank almost the same dimensions. 48"x24"x24" and run two Maxspect Gyre 250's and a nero in one corner and a Tunze in the opposite corner. But I have a mixed reef heavy on the Acropora (sticks). If you can get another gyre on the opposing side you would have much better flow versus only going one direction.

I moved from two Ecotech MP40QD's and they weren't enough for my tank, and wasn't a fan of the flow going through the middle of my tank. But everyone's needs are different.

Currently running 2 gyre 250s in a 60 cube heavy sps mixed reef. I agree @bhuyett. Going to be stepping up to a custom made larger cube soon and getting at least one more gyre 350. May even run the 350 in the 60 on low just to add a little more turbulence.

Thank you. Have you found a setting you like to run?
