I'm looking for a current sale on new aquariums along the lines of Red Sea Reefer, Waterbox, I.M. etc. I need to upgrade to a larger tank, like most of the people here, which for me means a 48"x20"x20"ish tank. I've been hoping BRS or Marine Depot would get a good tank sale going but I can wait only so long. So...if you know about a sale in one of the online shops, or in Seattle area, please let me know.
Thanks,

Kacey

Reefer 170 deluxe.

Keep checking both brs and md. Seems like you'll get something on sale lately.

I believe you can get any of those brands ordered in at Saltwater City in Bellevue or Barrier Reef in Newcastle. I’m not sure what they charge for them as far as markup but if you want to get something from a local LFS those are your spots. Tropical Fish World in Bonney Lake has a big selection of lesser known tanks, especially large ones, on display in their showroom. I think they only sell eshops sumps though so not many choices there if the sump doesn’t come in the package. Hope that helps.

I'm just trying to figure out how I missed that sale. A Red Sea Reefer 350 would be great.
The problem is I have the perfect setup in my head, which would be a 48"x20"x18" tank w/external overflow, Aluminum stand and no sump, as I already have a nice sump. I could accept some dimensional variation, I might even be talked into a tank with a sump, if the rest were inline with the tank in my head, though it would be wasteful and I'd have to sell my new Trigger Ruby 30.
Thanks you guys,

Kacey

101Tank108x30x30 3/4 Starfire, external overflow, shipping included $ 9,250.0010% $ 8,325.00
103Tank60x30x26 Peninsula, external low pro, shipping included $ 3,399.0015% $ 2,889.15

Apparently, the tanks are down in Oak Harbor, crated up and ready to go. I am guessing no warranty as they went out of business. Not the exact dimensions you are looking for. But the 60x30x26 is close.

I did check on a Reefer 350 at Seattle Corals cuz I was told they had a sale going, but no luck there. I might check out Bonney lake but what are the chances they would have a reef ready tank available.
Thanks

Not close enough and out of my budget, hence the "sales" shopping.
Thanks anyways though.

The IM 100 EXT sounds perfect for you. Basically 48x24x20 and they have the aluminum stand, do not come with a sump.

They have reef ready tanks, just not the brands you’re looking for. Its been a while but I remember someone at Barrier Reef telling me that the distributor for Red Sea is in Fife which allowed them to get them in the store quickly or you can go to the distributor warehouse and pick it up. Don’t know if that’s true anymore but it may be a way to avoid shipping charges. Worth a phone call to find out?

You are right. That's the one I've come closest to getting. Now I just need it to go on sale as I have a limit of around $1800.
