Figured ide get some opinions on this. I currently have a 1050 and 660 wave maker for my 75 gal tank. Between the two should that be enough? I know the 660 they say its good for 55 gal. But figured with the 1050 they should be fine. Opinions?

The 660 you might have to crank to 100%. What’s the dimensions of the tank? You already have both of them? I have 2 of the largest ones in my 100 gallon but they are both only at 40%.

I have the 660, 1050 and the 2100. In my 60 gal tank, I started off with the 660 and the 1050, but thought they weren't providing enough water movement. I'm now using to the 2100 and 1050 and have been experimenting with different levels. I'm currently 70% on both, with the 2100 on pulse mode and the 1050 on surge. I've been as high as 80/100, but decided to dial it down a bit to see if my hammer reacts positively.

I ended up getting the 660 for 10 bucks on a deal. And just bought the 1050 for 60 bucks. Tank is 48x20x20 I think if i remember

I have 2 of the largest on my 40b the are on 30 second surge at 100% . But was trying to create a lot of flow.

So now i wonder if i should try to sell the 660 or stick with it

Hello,

It depends on how you place them and which mode is where. I have four 2100 on my 240 and I run them at 80% and they alone will make enough movement to make small waves and splashes. With all four on stream they definitely will move water at 80%, (enough to rip the flesh of my pc rainbow that was about 6 inches from it and slightly out of direct path.

It also depends on what your placing in your tank. If your doing sps you may want a little more. But for lps and softies your close to overkill on it. You may want to figure how much your return is putting out also. These wave Makers are great and I love them.

Hmmm maybe i will just see once the tank is up and running then . :) thank you all for the info!

Definitely keep the 660. It can be a backup or a third pump on the hub for behind the rocks or a low flow part of your tank. I have the 2 largest on gyre at 100% in my tank and that does not cover my whole tank because of rock work
