I'm planning my first reef build. Looking at the Orbit Marine IC Pro Dual bundle for a 30w x 24d x 16h rimless tank.

My goals are fish, soft and LPS coral, and a BTA down the road. Will the dual lights give me enough power to support BTAs?

I know there are better lights out there, but trying to balance budget and performance. This system is appealing because of the controls, features, and integrated wave maker options. Just don't want to find myself needing an upgrade when I decide to add the BBTA.

Thanks!

The dual would probably be ok on that tank. The main issue what the heck those lights is that after 12 inches the par drop off is very bad (with all channels at 100%) However, if you give a price range I am sure I could find a better light for the price.

Trying to keep it around 300. Was looking at AI, but I don’t think one 32 hydra is enough, and two 16 primes with mounts would run me up to 500. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

SB reef light and ocean revive are good budget friendly lights. The reef breeders photon 24 v2+ is also a decent choice and mounts on that size tank
