Current USA Lights?

The app sticks, if you have the normal controller it works. I have this over my QT tank and I could never get the app to work.

I got it to work. It actually lags a bit in real time. Had sunrise set for 830, but they didn't start rsmping until about 835

I have the 48" dual ic pros. When I first started my tank I had issue with the remote. Was actually a faulty remote. I exchanged the entire setup (lights, hubs and remote) Replacement has worked great ever since. I only use the remote though. No bluetooth

Is yours on a set program? If so after how long does your lights turn to daylight after the sunrise?

Never used bluetooth but I had 2 Orbit ICs and 1 orbit over my tank for a while with great growth on LPS and softies - had to replace the IR controller once though.

Do you know how long your lights were on the sunrise setting before changing to daylight?

I believe it's about an hour and a half ramp on each end. I run blues at 100 and whites at 60. I feel like to get thr par I need the lights look too white to me although some prefer more of a white look. I just added a reefbrite lumilite pro actinic and love the look as a supplementary light

Basically on the IR controller:

Sunrise is the first hour of your start time
Sunset is the last hour before your end time
Moonlight is 4 hours after your end time

These could not be changed. You could change the color of sunset / daylight and moonlight though.

On mine it says sunrise 830am, no time for daylight, sunset 5pm, then moonlight 2 hours.

It has an automatic spectrum of 90% blue 50% white, can I set the whites to less for softies?

I run blues at 100 and white at 15 with green and red at 5.

Figure out what time you want your lights to be at max brightness then subtract 90 minutes and set that as your sunrise time. Same thing for for sunset. Figure out at what time you want it to run your moonlight schedule and subtract 90 minutes.

Mine is sunrise 0900, 1030 - 1730 daylight, 1900 moonlight, 0100 off.

4" about.
I have have the current tank mounts and am probably about the same range. I think middle setting is around 5" I have a LPS dominant tank and still running supplementary lighting with the dual IC pros.

Overall I think the lights are decent but wouldn't go with them again. I had good luck with current products in my FW planted days so went with these as I didn't want to break the bank on my first Reef bulld. By the time I factor in supplemental lights I could have just started with better lights.

Not a knock on the lights as they perform well. What I do find is to get enough par the whites need to be cranked up which doesn't provide a good look to me.

Lights are great for Fwlr tanks or softies. Outside of that you and your corals will be left wanting more.

Like you I had great experiences with the FW lights but it just didn’t transition into SW.

I have softies that are doing great. Probably going to add some lobos and duncans for LPS. We'll see how that goes.
