Current usa lights

Hi all general topics I broke down a 60gal marineland (petsmart special) and ordered a 75gal seapora rimless. I currently have 2 48" current usa orbit marine pro led with loop. My lfs says I can support some low light sps but these are mostly Lps and softie lights. So should I try to sell these and will there be interest or keep them and upgrade? My lfs is promoting reef breeder photon v2+ right now but was thinking of a ap700 any thoughts thanks

As far as SPS goes, if all you want is to keep a few montis you'll be fine. If you want to keep acros, time to upgrade.

Okay I'm not that big of a fan of monti i kinda like acro so maybe it's time to upgrade then. These were expensive so I'll need to off load them first

You can always look at the Chinese black boxes on amazon or eBay. They're relatively less expensive and work just as well for growing coral.

If you want sps or anemones, I would recommend upgrading. These lights aren’t very powerful. I have heard good things about the photon v2, so that might be a good option.

I have a current USA light and a reefbreeders v2+ (and an ai hydra). I think the Reefbreeders holds its own with any of the higher end leds. It's only downside is set up is tedious. But I'm very impressed with it.
The current USA is a nice light but I wouldn't try to use it for lps or sps personally. It's better for a fowlr or freshwater tank.
