I have a Current USA Orbit Marine LED Saltwater Reef Lighting System, 20" with the timer and remote. I have a issue the the when I use the volume on my Sanyo TV, it changes the setting on my lighting, lol. Which is kind of a pain but I simply leave the timer interface face down. Just wanted to know has anyone else had this problem, or if this is a sign we bought weak product?

Not a weak product just happens to be that your TV remote is close to the same IR sequence as the light

I wouldn't get again unless it's going on a tank no taller than 12-15 inches (depends on sand or barebottom). I do like all the settings and able 2 control.

Ok good to know. We are just starting out with a mini mini reef in a 10 gal, but that was really the smallest light for corals "they said" I could use. But you know, saleso_O

Perfect then, you'll not be ramped 2 100% then on either color.

I started with a 10 way back when. Question will be if your girl is in it 2, who says it's time 2 upgrade 1st lol.

th current marine pro is a great light with a great coverage

Both colors can be set from 0-100, and unless this is being hung, fully ramped (100) would be way 2 much intensity which could melt coral.

:eek: Oh wow I didn't know this, nothing in the instructions was a alert to that. I will have to figure this out and adjust as soon as I get home!

If I was guessing somewhere between 60-70 tops, even that could be 2 much. Start off slowly, and never place anything up high right off the bat, things can be moved up gradually.

Since you all are new, I'd advise in looking to setting up a quarantine tank. Go check out the disease forum on here, getting a disease in a tank is a headache and can be a nightmare.

what's you're usual settings for this led light?what percentage you use for blue and white?

I dont have that fixture anymore, moved out and started new tank with half of the other tank's stuff in a 30 gal now.

I have a Fluval Pro now, and I do not recommend it to anyone the control button is a piece of *&%$, hardly works, sometimes I get feed up and just have to unplugit!!!!!!

I see..Im just wondering if 100% for both blueand white will
be too muchand might bleach the corals?

Just replaced my Current Marine LED with an AI Prime. My tank is 24" deep though and the Current Marine LED just wasnt cutting it down to the bottom of the tank. It should be more than enough for a 10g tank though bordering on overkill actually. :)

I am in a similar situation. I have a CM LED with a 20gal tank (12" deep after sand) and I'm debating switching to the AI Prime. Do you think that would be overkill for me? Are you happy with the switch?
