Sorry if this has been posted but what is with MH fixtures on Current USA's site (http://www.current-usa.com/) showing as discontinued? Sunpod and Outer Orbit, to name a few. Are they actualy going to be pushing LED's more? Aquapod shows as discontinued as well.

Interesting, I have no idea. Perhaps they've heard enough complaints about those stupid AC fans crapping out and decided to stop making them. I'm one of them!

You lucky dog . I purchased one replacement fan, wired it in there and it crapped out as well. I've since decided to just wire an PC fan in there and run an AC/DC converter to run it with no problems, and it is dead silent.

The only Current fixture I've owned caught on fire - thank the lord I was home at the time. Needless to say I'll never own anything made by them again.

Someone on my local board said they have had ballast issues as well so maybe they just decided to cut and run. I think the issues have really started to be common recently. What do I know, I have T5's in a current fixture? :squigglemouth:

This was up on another forum as well.. Current said they are aiming more towards t5HO's and said they couldn't comment about LEDs but seemed to hint at it

I've had one up for about 5 months and it seems to work ok thus far... I just wish the bulbs had more blue.

i've run my outer orbit for 3 1/2 yrs with no problems. i recently upgraded the stock ballasts to icecaps and went from 150w to 250w.

did you have to replace the ceramic lamp sockets or were you able to use the same ones but just make them further apart? i know the length is different but not sure if they are like home lamps...you know this socket rated for up 60 watts, this one is up to 100 watts..
