Sorry, for not researching. We lost power about 2 hours ago. I was able to get a generator up and running. Have an air pump to my 75 g FW planted, that should be fine.

My reef is 135 G system. I have 2 return pumps going and 1 mp40. Should I kill a return pump for another MP ? Which should get priority? I have a fan blowing on the tank. Nothing else is powered up.

Thoughts? TYIA

Been thrashing. Wife’s Bday tomorrow and 2 boys with nothing to do… lol. I did get Wi-Fi, a lamp and a tv working. I should keep my sanity…

Hopefully the power will be restored soon !
sounds like you are fine ,keep an eye on temp

You should be fine for several hours. Corals don't need the O2 exchange the way fish do. I have 16 fish in my 135 along with a LOT of corals. Never had any issues with pumps turned off for hours on end.

If it looks like you will have an extended period of power loss.. (overnight or longer) then you may want to set something up to maintain temp and oxygen intake.. but otherwise you should be fine.
