Curve 7 skimmer settings question

Did I set this up wrong or did the factory reverse the adjustment tube? If the dot is on max it’s as low as it can get, if it’s on min or between the two mins the bubbles overflow at full force. What gives? Ha

My RO Classic 150SSS is the same way. Thought I had it at the lowest water level and overflowed it instantly.
