:squigglemouth:I just set up my 140 60"x30"x18" ext. coast to coast overflow on the 30" span, Rimless. I love this tank but I just can not make my mind up what I should do for lighting. Here are my choices so far
10x 54 watt T5'S retro
3 175 iwasaki and 4 t5's
or maybe just do 3 250's and be done with it.
What would you all do if it was your tank. I already have the first 2 choices in the garage I just need to build a floating canopy.
Here is some bad picks for what it looks like today. This is just a fixture i have laying around It has a Phoenix 250 and 2 blue plus

I would do the 250w. Shouldn't need 3 though 2 should cover enough of the tank with the right reflectors. IMO 175 is a little small for a 30" deep tank.

I agree with the above, definately need 250w mh's. I would pry set up either a 2 or 4 t5 retro with those two as well. You know....since there just laying around : )

30" is the width front to back not top to bottom. What bulbs would you use I think the raduim 250's are to dim looking.
